Cameras
The choice of camera is crucial and depends on several factors, including the size of the defects to be detected, the dimensions of your product, the preferred working distance (distance between the camera and the product), and the speed at which your products move through the production line. During our initial discovery phase, we select the optimal imaging system for your specific requirements.
For instance, if your products are moving on a conveyor belt or rollers at high speed and defects are small such as 1 mm to .1mm, a line scan camera is needed.
Illumination
Proper lighting is essential for accurate defect detection. Our experts design the lighting and
illumination setup to highlight even the most minor defects. The placement and angle of lights
should be adjusted based on the specific defects to be detected, ensuring maximum visibility and
inspection accuracy.
Frame Grabbers
Depending on the camera type, a frame grabber may be required. For example, while GigE cameras may not need a frame grabber, a Camera Link camera would require one. We assess your unique use case and select the right components to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
